Brenda Gibson is the quintessential woman-of-all-trades: an athlete, coach, community worker, event planner, businesswoman; and a leader. Brenda brings a unique energy and enthusiasm to all of her endeavours. While attending the University of Toronto, she competed both for Canada and the varsity track team, in addition to teaching at the university’s track and field camps and classes. After graduating with a degree in English and Fine Arts, she moved to Montreal to serve as both teacher and Track and Field coach at McGill University before returning to teach children and focus her efforts on truly making a difference in the lives that she touched. In 1992, Brenda continued her work with young people back in Toronto, directing her efforts this time on street youth and their families through 416 Drop-In Centre for the homeless and less fortunate.
