this podcast will be in Spanish too My will to live, the support of my family, medical and occupational professionals and above all else believing in the higher power are all that has allowed me the chance of being able to share my story as I thrive on being an advocate for people with disabilities. I do so by building professional relationships, raising awareness in different topics, event planning/fundraising, motivational speaking, and radio announcing. I was born with Spina Bifida. My parents were told that I would not live very long and if so, I would remain a vegetable confined to a wheelchair dependent on others for the rest of my life. In 2011, I was named Ambassador of Change through the Broward Children Center and Leadership Broward Program for educating young children in the second grade about disabilities, with the hope of decreasing bullying in the schools.
