Sinopsis

Scott Dixon's trying to shut out his Indy500 history. This weekend will be the Kiwi driver's 16th at the historic Indy Car event, though he's only ever been able to drink the milk once.Dixon says, despite being an old hand at the event, having struggled this season he's unsure how this year's edition will play out."Sometimes it's almost better to be a rookie as you don't know what to expect. You don't set too many thing sin stone or get stuck in your ways. You've always got to go into the 500 with an open mind."Dixon says with it expected to be around 33 degrees during the race, the biggest hurdle could be the weather."The heat, unfortunately, makes everything worse. You have less power, you grade quicker so plenty of accidents too. Hopefully we can stay out of that, get to the end of the race, and be in a good position."The two practice sessions are on Saturday New Zealand time.LISTEN TO SCOTT DIXON TALK WITH D'ARCY AND GORAN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
