This message examines David's ascent to the throne - first as king over Judah, and then over the whole house of Israel - and the early features of his reign. The most notable of those were his conquest of Jerusalem and subsequent act of bringing Yahweh's ark to Jerusalem to enthrone Him there in the new capital city.
