I see this happen a lot... The frustrated stylist leaves the big commission salon and knows EVERYTHING they hated about where they worked. They use it as fuel to create their own thing, but I don't believe that knowing what you don't want is enough of a roadmap to where you want to be. It can be helpful, don't get me wrong, but it is not enough of a guide forward. What happens is that the stylist doesn't have the tools to know what is possible, so instead, they make slight adjustments to the model they didn't like.
