Church On The Rock Homer

Church on the Rockers, Somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 years ago, I went with several of my family members and some friends to the Araneta Colosseum in Cubao, the transportation center of the metroplex that is Manila in the Philippines. We were there with tickets to see Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant live at the Colosseum. It was amazing. I don’t actually remember the size of the Araneta Colosseum, but it seemed like a billion Filipinos were there to rock out with two of Contemporary Christian Music’s pioneers. Many years later, I brought my oldest child along to relive that experience. Or the closest thing to it; Lincoln Brewster in the Mariner Theater in Homer, Alaska. It was awesome. And VERY loud. Which is what I was hoping for. By the end of the first song, my child was covering her ears. Halfway through the second song, she was over it. Apparently, she is not as enthusiastic about skull crushing bass as I am. This Sunday we are going to talk about music at Church on the Rock Homer. Why
