Her business has been recognized as the first African American and woman-owned student loan repayment company in the country.  You might be surprised to hear that before starting the Student Loan Doctor, Sonia didn’t have personal budgeting discipline, she was living paycheck-to-paycheck, and grappling with her own student loan debt. Even with a background and passion for higher education, Sonia was frustrated with the process of how to get information about her student loans and knew she had to do something.  She worked on her personal finances and eventually started working with clients to help them manage their student loan debt.
