This week, Black Pedro and Mike Casentini welcome comedians Devyan DuMon and Darren Carter. They open the show with a little friendly banter regarding the “Waze” app, which then leads into the topics of the day, which include the historic election in Ferguson; the officer charged with murder for shooting an unarmed black man in South Carolina; the Boston Bomber verdict, and 5 reasons for a Mariah Carey Christmas movie. All that, plus we answer one of our fans online questions. TOPICS OF THE DAY 1. Historic election in Ferguson. Higher than normal turnout. Two African-Americans each won their wards, Ella Jones and Wesley Bell. This makes the 6-member City Council (50%) black. Ferguson’s population of about 21,000 is 70% black, but the City Council was predominantly white, as is the police force. 2. North Charleston, South Carolina, officer charged with murder for killing an unarmed black man, most of which was caught on a bystanders mobile phone video camera. 3.
