Sinopsis

Our lives are short. Our time on earth is like a breath. We are like grass; here for just a season. Psalm 144:3, 4 Lord, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow. But some aspects of our lives will live beyond us into future generations. The psalmist described children as being like arrows. In our children and grandchildren, we project our influence, our legacy into the future. Psalm 127:3, 4 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. We are all leaving a legacy of some sort. And some of our legacy will be lived out by our children. Raising children is one of the most difficult, time and money consuming, and challenging things a person will do in life. The truth is some of the things our children will inherit both good and bad things from us. Like red hair, but susceptible to freckles and skin cancer.
