Pentecost and the power of the Holy Spirit Hello St. Mary Magdalene,  Did you know that Pentecost reverses what happened in Genesis with the tower of Babel? In that story, mankind tried to ascend on their own and claim what belongs to God alone and, as a result ended disastrously as our languages were now separated and we were unable to understand one another. This weekend we hear how the Holy Spirit now descends upon us and draws us all together through the diversity of languages in one common mission: to proclaim the Gospel, the Good News of Christ! Also, experientially for us too, we have the Latin language to unite us in our prayer and worship so that, despite linguistic and culture diversity, we can pray together!  So, ask the Lord to abundantly renew His outpouring of the Holy Spirit in your life so that the power of the Holy Spirit will lead you deeper into God's Love!  God bless,  Fr.
