Sitton has a background in engineering and in fact, he is the first engineer in 50 years to serve as a Commissioner for the Texas Railroad Commission. Make no mistake about the fact that Sitton is not a newcomer to the oil & gas industry. A 20 year career as an engineer in the energy industry eventually motivated Sitton to start his own company, Pinnacle. His company's mission was to implement reliability systems across all types of industries, including oil & gas, mining, refining and petrochemical industries. Pinnacle helped companies ensure the safety of the operation of anything relating to pumps, piping systems and pressure vessels, as well as teaching companies how to manage these types of units.
