All the complaining about his powers, not being able to stand up to Lex, and also blames him for their dad dying. In anger and frustration, he punches a barn beam breaking his hand. All of this emotion, trauma and stress awakens his powers in one of the greatest scenes of the show. He has all of his dad’s powers and is ready to train at the D.O.D. with Sam.
