Sinopsis

The 2016 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Trials are ready to roll in Iowa City on April 9-10. On Episode 25 of the World Wrestling Resource Podcast, host Jason Bryant will be joined by U.S. National Team coaches Matt Lindland and Terry Steiner and WWR co-founder Dennis Hall. There's still work to be done for some of the weight classes that still need to qualify for the Rio Olympics, but all three on the panel will give their perspectives on preparing for the Trials from both a coaching and competition standpoint. Lindland, an Olympic silver medalist in 2000, is going through his first Olympic cycle as the Greco-Roman coach, while Steiner is in his fourth as the leader of the women's freestyle program. Hall competed on one of the most iconic Trials matches in 2004, beating rival and friend Brandon Paulson. He won a silver medal in Atlanta in 1996. Also discussed is the scheduling of the Trials, the impact of men's and women's college wrestling on the developmental programs and the keys to improving depth. All
