Her interest in dance, theater, and other forms of make-believe led to a 20-year career in the performing arts, where "work" meant she got to do things like tap dance and choreograph musicals. A mid-life career change has yielded thus far Counteract, Resist, and now, Ignite, the first three volumes in the YA dystopian Resistance Series, and a nonfiction history book entitled Fips, Bots, Doggeries, and More.
