The explosive growth in the population of veterans being diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTDS) is becoming a genuine epidemic, as the condition is slowly becoming better understood and appreciated for its power and consequences. This is become especially prevalent in the 9/11 generation of warriors, as they are dealt with enemies and weapons which maximize the end affects that cause PTSD. Combined with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), PTSD is causing an explosion of consequences among our veterans population, ranging from unemployment and divorce, to a completely unacceptable rate of suicide and homelessness. One key problem is the lack of public awareness and understanding about PTSD, and the need to expose a broader audience within America to what needs to be done for our returning veterans. One such way are feature films, which have a broad public audience, though rarely focus on PTSD itself.
