On today's show, veteran trucker "Crazy Man" and Robin we will be talking about the FMCSA's proposed new hours of service regulations. out of the millions of drivers on the road today, sadly only less then 5000 comments have been submitted so far. here is an example of some of the proposed changes... 34-hour restart Must include at least two periods between midnight and 6 a.m. a second restart cannot be taken any sooner than 168 hours (seven days) after the BEGINNING of the last restart. seven hours max driving time With required 30 minute break afterwards. 11 hour driving limit reduced to 10 hours the whole reason for the change is the perceived driver fatigue and need to pass the word around to other drivers to politely and to the point and let the FMCSA know that these changes are unnecessary and that they are really not addressing the real issues.
