NEW TAXES How fast will big business leave Oregon especially in the wake of measures 66 and 67? "They are anti-business, anti-success, anti-inspirational, anti-humanitarian, and most ironically, in the long run, they will deprive the state of tax revenue, not increase it." -- Phil Knight other companies that used to be headquartered in Oregon or no longer exists include the First National Bank -- G.I. Joe's -- Monaco coach -- Meyer & Frank -- Georgia-Pacific -- Pacific power -- Willamette industries -- US bank and many others. Even with the passage of measures 66 and 57, Oregon still feels that it does not have enough money and is looking for other means of increasing taxes, and fees including suggesting after being told NO nine times, a sales tax. Do you feel that the Oregon legislature is doing a good job in this recession and that we should be adding more taxes for schools, education and the tribe provide healthcare for everyone?
