Two weeks ago my child had surgury to fuse her skull to her spine. They said it would be one week of hell after as the operation tried to heal itself. Today is day 14 and she cannot sleep because of the pain in her ear, left side of body, and the meds are not working not even a little bit. No sleep, no food, no relief of any type. 14 days of constant pain is beyond unacceptable and yet we must endure and try too keep the family functioning as her sister is there with her, and her family needs to continue to function so we all try to help. What I am noticing is that the emotions and feelings are the same this time as all the other times.
