She has more than 10 years of experience in the field of women and peace in the Middle East, Asia and USA.  She has a BA in Psychology, MA in Gender and Peace-building from the University for Peace, a UN-affiliated University, Costa Rica. She is a current researcher on Women's Consciousness in psycho-spiritual studies.  She holds workshops and women circles on self-discovery, living a life of purpose and moon women cycles. Shahinaz is also a NonViolent Communication Arabic facilitator for the new York Center for NonViolent Communication.
