On this episode of the Three-Inning Save podcast, the Dodgers signed manager Dave Roberts to a record-setting contract extension that will pay him $32.4 million over four years. In nine years on the job, Roberts has won four pennants, two World Series, and his .627 winning percentage is the best in National League/American League history, averaging over 101 wins per 162 games. His Hall of Fame credentials are established. And now he’s paid accordingly.  At $8.1 million per year, Roberts broke Cubs manager Craig Counsell’s record for average annual salary. Roberts was set to earn $4 million in 2025 on his previous contract, and his salary is now doubled.
