10 Things To Tell You

Ep 191: How BookTok and Gen Z Are Changing the Way We Read + Best Books Lately (with Alex Cash)

Sinopsis

Where a 40-something aunt (me) chats with her 20-something niece (Alex) about what we're reading, where we get our book recommendations, and how the algorithm affects both of these things.  I often find my 24-year-old niece reading on the couch in our shared home. Sometimes she's pulled something off my bookshelves, but more often she's in her own world of reading, influenced by her age, tastes, and, of course, TikTok.  In this episode, Alex and I talk about the differences in what her generation is reading (and why) and mine. Then we share the best books we've both read lately.  I loved talking with her officially on microphone because it reminded me that there is always so much to learn from other generations. (And because I always love to talk about reading.)
