Transmissions: Extra!

On this episode of TransMissions Extra!, we delve into the Sega vs Nintendo video game console rivalry of the early 90’s. We highly recommend the book Console Wars by Blake J. Harris, which tells the story, mostly from the point of view of inside Sega of America, of Sega’s struggle to capture video game market dominance over industry juggernaut Nintendo during the 16-bit console generation. Additionally, we can’t help but reflect on the current state of Nintendo in the video games industry today, compared to how they were viewed over 20 years ago.
