All Pop, No Culture

This week is a hearty one. The gang covers The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Blue Beetle, Blue Eye Samurai, Monarch Legacy of Monsters, and more! It kicks off with Andrew and Jen talking about the newest Hunger Games flick, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. It's really interesting to hear how this prequel story ties and just how much they enjoyed it. Kevin hasn't seen it yet, but his interest is certainly piqued.  Next up, Kevin discusses Blue Beetle, which just dropped on Max. If you'll recall, Andrew saw this in theaters and thoroughly enjoyed. As it turns out, Kevin and his kids did not... There's a hearty debate about it and we definitely leave this one to the commenters to tell us what they think! After that, Kevin and Andrew talk about Monarch - Legacy of Monsters on Apple TV. They both love that it's a human centered story and it's off to a great start.
