All Pop, No Culture

Welcome to another episode! This week we have a special guest, Andrew’s friend Chad from his time in Chicago. Chad is a born fide pop culture expert with a great knowledge of comic book, horror, and film lore. The episode goes through getting to know Chad before Kevin derails that with talk about Phase 4 of the MCU. It’s a very good conversation with Andrew playing the opposing voice in the conversation. It’s spirited but not confrontational, so very eye opening! Next up, the guys dig into Chad’s horror roots. This leads to a great discussion about the genre in film in general. It gives Kevin and Andrew a quick chance to talk about their Conjuring franchise watch and leads nicely into the weekly The Last of Us discussion. The talk then circles back to more superhero discussions before we get into finding out more about Chad’s time as a DJ in Chicago.
