Bonus Episode: Secrecy and Safety Can’t CoexistIn this bonus episode, we look at set safety and whether the historically ‘cowboy’ culture of film sets truly permits a culture of safety. All through our first season, guests from various television and film departments repeatedly raised concerns about set safety. We dove into issues ranging from stunts, rigging, child performers, general safety, and firearms. One common thread that appeared again and again was the fact that one must always be willing to voice concerns over safety and in so doing, potentially lose a job.
