In other words, our support can elevate both the giver and the receiver. The story of Ruth and Naomi beautifully illustrates this principle. When Naomi faced hardship and loss, it was Ruth’s unwavering loyalty that shone through the darkness. She chose to stay with Naomi, declaring, “Where you go, I will go; where you stay, I will stay” (Ruth 1:16).
