Dr. Gio Valiante, noted Golf Psychologist, has some advice for Tiger Woods as he prepares for this week’s U.S. Open: “I would tell him to take the weekend off,” Valiante said in this week’s New York Daily News Sports Talk podcast, with also featured Daily News golf writer Hank Gola and sports edtior Bill Price Valiante, who serves as a mental game consultant to the Golf Channel, Golf Digest and the University of Florida, was speaking from the American Express Champions Expereince at Chambers Bay and said Woods’ mental state combined with the challenging layout of Chambers Bay golf course will make it a brutal weekend for Woods.
