It's Not About Religious Persecution

Informações:

Sinopsis

Some Christian activists and grandstanding politicians are making a clerical function - the issuance of marriage licenses - an issue of religious persecution. A county clerk in Kentucky is opposed to the legal recognition of the union of same sex couples and has refused to issue them marriage licenses. The clerk is not being persecuted for her religious beliefs. She was punished for not doing the job she was elected to do. A job that required her to take an oath to uphold the Constitution. A Constitution that is interpreted by the Supreme Court. Requiring an employee of a government, founded on separation of church and state, to do the job she was elected to perform is not persecution.
