The big slugger on the MLB free agent market signed with the Phillies. Were the Pirates actually in on Kyle Schwarber, who signed back in Philly for 5 years, $150M today. Do the Pirates get any benefit of the doubt from you since they were, allegedly, ‘in’ on Schwarber? The guys don’t think so. Until they make a move of any magnitude, there is nothing to base on them being in on big-name players.
