David Riley saw himself as the next Frank Sinatra. Leaving behind a childhood marred with epilepsy and dyslexia, he grew into a skinny adolescence coveting fame, money and world adulation. In his mind, he had to show his father that he was someone, but John Riley thought Dave a loser and favored his four older sons. After hawking his music around Miami radio stations, it turned out Dave didn’t have the talent to be a rock ‘n’ roll legend. His fragile ego dented, he teamed up with the Miami Mob and launched a criminal career which spanned half a century.
