Jesus closes the Sermon on the Mount with a series of sobering contrasts — two gates, two paths, two kinds of people, and two eternal outcomes. In Gospel of Matthew 7:13–29, He makes it clear that following Him is not casual, cultural, or automatic. Many may admire His teaching, participate in religious activity, or claim spiritual identity, but only those who actually trust and obey Him are building a life that will stand.
