In the popular days of Myspace, we reached a milestone of hitting over 400,000 page visits on our website in a single month. We spent zero dollars on advertising, bought zero traffic, and used organic reach by tapping in to our network. It was incredible. Technology was not at the forefront of 'ease' and 'speed'; we had to do a LOT of work ourselves to create what we would call a very "simple" website. However, that website connected us with musicians who are wildly popular today on a concept that created a frenzy. You can absolutely get the same kind of results without overcomplicating...you just have to think a little bit outside the box. Ideas are plentiful, execution matters more.
