No More Excuses Every two weeks I have a meeting with a couple of financial advisors. They are more than just referral partners, they are friends. Almost every time, without fail, by the end our lunch we start talking about marketing and what everyone is doing to get business. They keep telling me the same things over and over - and all of these entail a lot of work, a lot of hours, and a lot of grinding (think old school outreach). Then I tell them what I'm doing... a little networking, consistent content creation, and things are going really well. Next (and remember, this happens EVERY time) they ask me some specifics about what I do from a content creation and distribution standpoint. So I tell them. And EVERY TIME I start telling them what I do I immediately get push back with excuses. "This won't work because of 'x'." "This won't work because of 'y'."
