Pastor Jake continued our Summer series that will take us verse-by-verse through the book of Colossians. This week’s message was on Colossians 2:1-7. In this message, Pastor Jake gave us 3 questions to ponder and reflect on that naturally rise to the surface from studying these 7 verses. The problem is that we live in a culture and a time that has sacrificed reflection for convenience and efficiency. Technology promises us that we will have more time, because tasks will take less time to complete, but instead it just causes us to fill our lives with more. We’re never able to quietly reflect because we’re either doing another task or distracting ourselves with noise (shows, music, social media, etc). It’s easier to avoid questions that would cause us to feel conviction and change.
