Black History Month was marked by a special visit from author Christopher Benson. Author of several books, including Death of Innocence: The Story of the Hate Crime that Changed America and Special Interest, Benson is also a professor of African American Studies and Journalism at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Community Scholarships were presented.
