Kankakee Public Library Podcasts

Dr. Wayne Sheehan presented the history of the West Side Boosters, a Kankakee baseball team that was in existence from 1936 to 1955. Through articles from the Daily Journal, personal interviews and several other sources he has managed to piece together the story of the Boosters. A native of Kankakee, Sheehan has taught history for 32 years at Sul Ross State University, including courses in American sports history.
