Dresden: A Survivors Story

Informações:

Sinopsis

On February 13, 1945, Ash Wednesday, Allied bombs rained down on the German city of Dresden, burning it mostly to the ground. Among the citizens there that night was a young girl named Christina. Mrs. Christina Saller visited the Library on November 10, 2005 to tell her story of horror and survival on that terrible night. She speaks of a refugee family she tried to save, of the smell of burning bodies, and of days spent hiding in a smoldering attic. The saga runs from her girlhood under Nazism to her eventual escape to post-war America. Her story is the simple yet important tale of a common girl living in uncommon times.
