I think, when it comes to listening, we are all naturally not very good at it. I think there is something that is part of our sinful nature that has us hearing things the way we want to hear them sometimes. I see it in my own conversations with family and I think that I do the same thing. There is a section in today's verses that reminds me of this and how it can be dangerous in our faith walk in regards to what God is speaking to us. Luke 4:28-29 "All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff." You can know all about Jesus and reject what He is trying to tell you.
