Just came back from our first family vacation where we had to fly. We sure had a ton of luggage! Each of our four kids had a backpack for the ride, had a few suitcases and 4 car seats! it was a little crazy to be carrying all that plus four young children throughout an airport. I am sure we looked a little crazy. We moved at a snail's pace with all our goodies. After today's reading, I started thinking, how many of us are traveling through life with that much baggage... or even much more. Luke 9:3-6 " He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt. Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere” Maybe more is not better...
