We’re talking about movies that highlight the lives and works of musicians. From “Purple Rain” to “The Blues Brothers,” our conversation will take you on a musical journey. Plus, speaking of journeys, the Critic and the Referee also discuss what excellent storytelling is all about. Whether in documentary form (“Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall”) or in narrative form (the films of James Cameron), the story must reign supreme for a movie or TV show to be a success.
