One of my favorite family memories is from the times when my three kids were in kindergarten. The first public performance of each of their lives came at Thanksgiving, when all the parents would gather at school on the day before Thanksgiving to watch our kids sing songs and recite poems and dress up like pilgrims. And then when the program was over we would sit down with our kids in those tiny kindergarten chairs and eat crackers and drink juice as our way of celebrating Thanksgiving together. ...
