Happy New Year 2014! YHOW gives thanks to the Great Mother Goddess for setting us free to live our power. The first Hour of Power show is dedicated to my Personal Egun! Iba ye Mabel Dawson, my mother, my Queen Mother, and an original Queen of Hearts member. Her life is my inspiration and she was my first teacher. Beautiful loving mother, sister and best friend shared the lessons of her life with her daughters. In honor of her memory, I share with you her and my other writings about her. As mother and grandma to her many grandchildren she was real and down to earth, no nonsense community mother and grandmother of all who entered her world. Mom had the deep love of Osun and the capacity to love all the children like Yemaya.  My mother loved Mother Mary McLeod Bethune because she uplifted the lives of poor black people and she shared that vision of African American doing better with me. My mother loved her people and supported good for the community where we lived. Join me and celebrate your own mother. Call in
