We can't know the good things that God has in store for us unless the Holy Spirit shows us. God uses imperfect people. The Holy Spirit's revelation and conviction takes place in the human spirit, not in the mind. Putting the Word of God first in your life is key to spiritual development. Spiritual development is key to understanding what belongs to you. Three types of men: natural man is the unsaved man, lives according to his fleshly nature since he is spiritually dead; spiritual man: searches Word and receives from God; carnal man: saved but not spiritual, a baby Christian, lives like a natural man. Three ways that a carnal man lives because of spiritual pride: 1) Envy and strife leads to preferring celebrity ministers, 2) Sexual promiscuity, 3) Bad attitude toward other believers. Spiritual pride will keep you blinded to sin in your life. It is important not to be body ruled. We need to be ruled by the inward man, our spirit.
