Veterans from Phoenix House recovery centre in Catterick Garrison are gearing up for a culinary competition with Swinton Park Cookery School. Competitors will get a taste of life in a professional kitchen under the tutelage of a top chef before a final cook off. It’s hoped the event will provide a smooth transition to civilian life for those in the military who had their career ended through injury or sickness.
