The Functional Skills Development Manager at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick has been presented with the Northern Region Inspirational Tutor of the Year award. Kay Whitehouse is responsible for the education of recruits at the centre who failed to gain any GCSE qualifications. Kay supports up to 1000 soldiers each year and ensures each one has fundamental maths & English skills. Kay's hard work was recognised at a special ceremony in the Officers' Mess at Vimy Barracks.
