Jamie McDonnell defended his WBA bantamweight title for the second time against the flashy and athletic Tomoki Kameda. McDonnell moved Kameda around the ring while pressing forward on the smaller challenger the entire fight behind a solid lead jab. Kameda was flashy in spurts but fought off of his back foot as he pedaled away struggling for accuracy. McDonnell dropped Kameda in the final frame to seal the deal, defeating Kameda by way of unanimous decision.Anthony Dirrell beat an outmatched and out of shape Marco Antonio Rubio over ten rounds in the boring main event of this Sunday afternoon fight card on the PBC. The Premier Boxing Champions announcing crew was disgraceful during this fight card from Corpus Cristi. Biased, agenda driven announcing has been a major issue with every PBC card to date, but the ridiculous, farfetched, attempted manipulation of the at-home boxing audience was disrespectful at best.
