God, in His infinite wisdom, created us and gave us different body parts for different kinds of functions. He gave us control over these parts. Your leg cannot move without your will, neither can your tongue speak without your will. That is why the Bible teaches us to tame our tongue. The reason God is talking about the tongue being tamed and not any other part of the body, is because the tongue actually controls the whole body. If we can get control over this one area we can have control over every area. Being a spitfire, saying whatever you feel, will cause you to have the very things that you say. Determine to put that fire out by controlling your speech, and by bridling it with the Word of God. Put God’s Word in your mouth like ammunition, and begin firing it at your future. Your future is tied to your next rant.
