The definition, in an ethical sense, is referring to those who followed after Jesus’ example, have proved the strength and genuineness of their faith by undergoing a violent death. I think this list of people found in Hebrews 11 are a little more than witnesses… more like champions. This year Pursuit wants to remember and celebrate the champions that have been apart of our church for the past 50 years and be filled with fresh vision and courage for what our church and community needs us to be for the next 50 years.
