Revelation 3:1-2 NLT "I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive-- but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. The 2 reasons the church at Sardis is said to be dead is because: Conformity to the culture around it Failure in their Gospel witness. Read Luke 6:20-49 Luke 6:27-28 NLT 27 "But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. 28 Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. Luke 6:35-36 NLT 35 "Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. 36 You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate. We just read: Luke 6:28 NLT 28 Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
