The Chinese economy has grown to become the second largest in the world which means China offers unprecedented opportunities for British exporters. However many of us are not entering the market because we really don’t have much understanding of China as a country, the people, the language or the business environment. After graduating as a mechanical engineer from Imperial College, Matthew worked for a industrial gas company before moving to China where he studied Mandarin and then worked for an NGO that helped build bridges between China and the West.
